FORD, Carol (nee Taylor)

67 years, of Wheatley, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at Chatham-Kent Hospice on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Beloved wife of Michael for 47 years and 10 months. Dearest sister of the late Wayne Taylor (1948), Sharon (Frank) Briand, Patricia (Dan) Taylor and Keith Taylor. Cherished aunt of Jennifer, Richard, 1 nephew and 2 nieces and great aunt to Blake. Daughter of the late Carl and Edwidge (Toulouse) Taylor. She will be sadly missed by her K-nine buddies, Tater and Cruise and many who passed on before her and are waiting for her on the rainbow bridge. Carol was a teacher for 34 years at Comber Centennial Central School where she taught 3 generations of students who cherished her. She was president of Comber Legion Branch #241 Ladies Auxiliary and a member for over 20 years. Carol was also a member of the HRC for 30 years where she held the position of past secretary, for the Essex HRC, Ottawa Valley HRC, and the National HRC. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at McDowell Cemetery, Comber. Memorial donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice appreciated.
