77 years, of Tilbury, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, after a short battle with cancer. Loving husband of Gloria (Gaudreau) for 56 years. He played a vital role in the lives of his children and will be forever missed by Kim (John) Bartlett and Darrin (Sandy) Murphy. He loved spending time with his 5 grandsons; Andrew, Kyle, Christopher, Joshua, and Benjamin, sharing in their life adventures. Son of the late Gordon & Stella Murphy. Brother of the late Pauline Murphy, Joanne Murphy, Gerald Murphy and Mary Lou (late Joe, 2019) Kuni. Brother-in-law of the late Fred (late Madeline) Gaudreau, late Norm (late Diane) Gaudreau, Bill (Theresa) Gaudreau, late Shirley (late Earl) St. Pierre, Betty (Bert) Reaume, Paul (Lydia) Gaudreau, and late Bobby Gaudreau. Also missed by several nieces and nephews. Jim was employed at Navistar for 40 years. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. He especially enjoyed all the friends he and Gloria made travelling in their motorhome and during the winters they spent in Florida. As per Jim's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held later at Erie Cemetery, Wheatley. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Murchadha House for Those with Exceptional Needs or the VON Society. Gloria and family would like to thank Dr. Colin Bryan and the VON, especially Brittany and Vicki, for everything they did to make it possible for Jim to spend his final days at home with the comfort and love of his family.
