Obituary of Cecile Bertha Rivest

RIVEST, Cecile Bertha (Barrette) 85 years, of Tilbury, born July 10, 1926, passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Beloved wife of Guillaume “Gil” Rivest since October 29, 1949. Loving mother of Roger and Lois Rivest, Annette and Brian Gagnier, Claudette Cowan and Al Vermeulen, Paul and Bonnie Rivest, Giselle and Michael Riberdy. Dearest grandmother of 12 grandchildren and the late Douglas Rivest (June 22, 1997), 7 great grandchildren and many step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Joseph and Louise Anna (Schiller) Barrette. Loving sister of Bernard and Irene Barrette, late Rita Barrette, Theresa and Ernest St. Pierre, Jules and Marcella Barrette, late Pauline and Norbert Sylvestre, late Monique and surviving husband Jean Paul and wife Edie Dicaire. Also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service from the funeral home Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 9:30 a.m., then to St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury for Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Staples.
