Obituary of Morris Stacey

STACEY, Morris 87 years, of Comber, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Tilbury Manor. Beloved husband and best friend of Ovaline (Thibert). Sadly missed by his children Kathleen (Jerome) Caza, Janet Saad (Jeff Edwards), Beatrice Stacey, Gary and Tammy (Belanger) Stacey, James and Joann (Quick) Stacey, John and Darlene (Deloge) Stacey, and foster son George and Nancy (Tremblay) Taylor. Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents William and Lucy Stacey, his brothers Ray and Stanley Stacey, foster son Garnet Merrit, and great granddaughter Laura (Natyshak) Caza. Dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Also survived by his dog and faithful companion Nipper. Morris was a long-standing member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 241 of Comber. He retired from Canada Post after 45 years of dedicated service, and served as caretaker of McDowell Cemetery and St. George’s Cemetery. Cremation was held on November 17, 2011. An open house and memorial will be held at Comber Legion Branch 241 on December 10, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society appreciated.
