Pauline Gagnier

Obituary of Pauline Lucia Gagnier

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a truly beautiful soul who touched our lives as a sister, wife, mother, grand mother and great grand mother.  Pauline (née Gagnier) past away peacefully in the comfort of her home on September 18, 2020 at the age of 87.  She leaves behind her husband and best friend of 67 years, Jean-Paul and their children, Yvette, Robert (Barb), Michel (Brenda), Colette (Robert), Jean-Paul Jr., and Guy.

Mémé Pauline was loved and admired by her ten grandchildren (Amanda, André, Arlie, Daniel, Erienne, Lillian (2007), Laurienne, Emily, Dominique, Olivia) and four great-grandchildren (Evan, Madison, Grace, Wesley). Daughter of Donat (1985) and Amélia (Trépanier - 1984). Sister of Maurice (2014, late Maryanne), Rosaire (late Antoinette), Bernadette (Don) Caza, Pierre (Patricia), Luc (Libby), Annette (Rick) Whitaker, Monique (Roger) Marentette, Marcella (Christopher) Hales, and Jeanne (Wayne) Gibson. Sister-in-law of Father Jérôme Gagnier (2008) and Ursula (late Ambroise) Emery (1998).

Pauline loved to travel the world, learn and record her family’s genealogy, and bake “tourtières” and “crème sucre” for her family and community. Her generous spirit, kind heart, and welcoming smile will always be reminders of the everlasting effects of love and grace.

In Pauline’s memory and to honor her late brother-in-law, please consider donating to Canadian Jesuits International at http://www.canadianjesuitsinternational.ca/donate/ or to Visitation’s building fund at https://visitationcomber.ca/give-to-visitation/.
