84 years, of Stoney Point (Pointe-aux-Roches) passed away suddenly, peacefully surrounded by his family at Chatham-Kent Alliance hospital on January 26th 2024. Beloved husband of his late wife Justine (2020) for 56 years. Loving father to Linda Morillo and Adrien (Mandip) Mailloux. Cherished Pépère to Jocelyne (Adam) Cottrell and John (Marina) Morillo. Cherished grand Pépère to Parker Morillo. Predeceased by parents Omer Mailloux (1971) and Clara (Chauvin) 1950. Brother of the late Eileen Levesque (Sylvio), late Dorothy Thibodeau (Gordon), late Eleonor Karas (Mitch)and late Lucienne Johnson (Ralph). Brother-in-law of late Dénis (Theresa), late Henri, late Monique Fillion (Paul), late Luc, Rémi, Claire, Clément (Lillian), late Gérard (Cécile), Thérèse (Ron) Duquette, Rose-Marie (Maurice) Fillion, Louise Lalonde (Joe Donaghue), Angèle (Jim) Hobson, Lucie, and Ernest. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bernard was a lifelong resident of Stoney Point. He worked for 30 years at the G.M. Trim Plant, as well as several years on the railroad. He also worked in the fields and drove produce to the canning factories in the region. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed time on his boat fishing, ski-dooing, trimming trees, was a talented wood worker and loved spending time camping and barbecueing for his family and friends. He was simply overjoyed everytime he saw Parker, his great grand daughter. He will be greatly missed. He was our «Macgyver» he helped everyone and was genuinely one of the nicest guys.

A funeral mass will be held at Visitation Parish Church, Comber Ontario on Wenesday, January 31, 2024 at 4:00pm. Interment of cremated remains will be held at Annunciation Cemetery, Stoney Point, Ontario on Friday, Febuary 2, 2024, at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Street Help (https://www.street-help.com/), Visitation Parish Building Fund or Erie Shores Hospice (https://www.eshf.ca/erie-shores-hospice/) are appreciated.
