UPDATE AS OF JUNE 13, 2020
COVID-19 DIRECTIVES FOR VISITING REAUME FUNERAL HOME INC.
~~Effective immediately – As per the provincial government’s announcement on June 13, 2020, the COVID-19 maximum attendance restriction has been changed to a 30 per cent capacity rule for funerals and visitations. •The number of people allowed to attend an indoor funeral ceremony is a maximum of 30 per cent of the capacity of the funeral home or venue. •Funeral services taking place outdoors will be limited to 50 attendees. Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two metres from people who are not from the same household or their established 10-person social circle.
What this means for our establishment;
We will be able to hold multiple visitations of 25 people or less at a time.
Time for cleaning our facilities will take place between each period of visitation.
Depending on each individual family's wishes we will be taking appointments for visitations so we do not have more than 25 people in the funeral home at any time. (Guidelines will be stated in each obituary)
We ask that you stay in your cars until your designated time of visitation. (No gathering outside the funeral home)
You must meet the criteria of our questionnaire (No fever of COVID-19 exposure, name, phone#, etc.) to be admitted into our facilities.
Chairs are placed a minimum of 2 metres apart, we ask that they not be moved.
We ask that contact with other people be limited. Again keep social distance. No kissing, hugging, or shaking hands.
If you have been out of the country in the last 14 days, or are feeling ill or unwell, you will not be allowed in the funeral home. We ask that you send your condolences online instead.
We are no longer taking donations. Instead we ask that you mail them in yourself or donate online.
As per our Local Medical Officer of Health visitors will not be allowed food or drink in the funeral home at anytime.
As per the Medical Officer of Health, if you violate any of the above you will be asked to leave.
Our team will continue to do our best to work through this Pandemic and keep our clients as safe as possible while still providing services to them.
As churches reopen, we will be able to have Masses and Services once again as long as we follow each particular church's set of guidelines as they will have a 30 percent or lower capacity as well.
I would like to thank all the families we have served, during this pandemic, for their understanding, patience, and support. Together, we will get through this.
Gregory G. Reaume
Owner / President
