Obituary of Valerie Yvonne Labonte

VALERIE LABONTE,

Valerie Yvonne Labonte, age 71 of Tilbury, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28th, 2020 at home with her family by her side. Beloved wife of Arthur Labonte of 52 years. Loving mother to Melissa Cranston & her husband Brent, Matthew Labonte & his wife Bobbie Jo.  Meme to Olivia Cranston, Sydney Cranston, Tyler Labonte and Jordyn Labonte. She was born to the late Lorne and Nancy Cottel on July 30, 1949.  Big sister to Jocelyn (Leo)Tremblay of Tilbury, Holly Charles of Calgary and Mark (Joanne) Cottel of Brampton.Sister in law to the late Genevieve (Wally) Arnel, Lawrence Labonte, Rita Labonte, Edgar (Dorothy) Labonte, Raymond Labonte and survived by sister-in-law Annette (late Robert) St. John and many nieces and nephews.  Valerie was a long time employee of 38 years at the Bank of Montreal, a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary Branch 206 and a faithful volunteer at Hudson Manor.  Valerie took joy in camping with her family and friends, along with being an avid bingo player.  The family wishes to thank all of those who helped care for her. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Due to COVID-19 regulations only 10 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time and you must register online by clicking on the following link Visitation Registration or call 519-682-0110 between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  A private Cemetery Service will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or Care for Kidneys Foundation.  Throughout the years Valerie received many units of blood to help maintain her quality of life giving her more time to spend with those she loved.
