Obituary of Barbara Ann Henrietta Carr

Barbara Ann Carr (nee Bonneau)

June 19, 1943 – June 1, 2022

Loved by her husband of nearly 60 years Kenneth and children Dan (Angela Cope), Deb Moysiuk (Al), she is predeceased by her parents Henry and Elizabeth Bonneau.  She is survived by four sisters and 3 brothers as well as many brothers and sisters’ in-law, nieces and nephews.  Barb passed at Chatham-Kent Hospice on June 1, 2022.  She lived her life not judging others and wouldn’t want anyone shedding tears for her but rather to celebrate her life well lived.  She loved her 4 beautiful granddaughters Andrea Moysiuk (Jay Northcott), Kennedy Carr (Tom VanRaay), Sarah Moysiuk (Adam Tetreault), and Jordan Carr (Dylan Dyck).  In December of 2021 she got to meet her great granddaughter Madelynn Grace who she loved to pieces.  The fur babies made her day, Millie and Barb logged a lot of couch time watching movies together and she loved to cook eggs for Buddi.  Barb loved spending her winters at Sanlan Ranch in Florida where she and Ken met so many wonderful people.  She could be found on the golf course, hosting a happy hour or organizing the poker run.  Reading was such a great passion that if you check a book out of the Merlin Library and see a red dot on the back page that means she has read it and was her of keeping track.  In addition to reading Barb loved bingo, jigsaw puzzles, watching Hallmark movies, the casino and spending time with family.  She retired from the Lambton Kent School board where she started her career as “The Warden” supervising spares at Tilbury District High School and then went on to be the attendance secretary at both Tilbury and Blenheim High Schools.  She finished her career in the office at Merlin Area Public School, seeing the littles one every day brought her a lot of joy.  There are not enough wonderful things to say or remember about Barb but we hope each passing day her loved ones and family can think of her and smile.  The family would like to thank Chatham-Kent Hospital and Chatham-Kent Hospice for the wonderful care she received for the last leg of her journey.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice would be great appreciated. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at Reaume Funeral Home Inc. 6 Canal Street West, Tilbury with Memorial Service to follow at 7:30 p.m.  A private interment will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Tilbury.
