Obituary of Betty Baute

The world has lost a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Baute at the beautiful age of 92 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Langenburg, SK. Raising her family in Jeannette's Creek. Cherished daughter of August and Zulma Van Daele. She was the beloved wife of the late Charley Baute (1992), loving mother of Allan Baute (1987), (Debbie), Diane (Wayne Zimney), Ken (Judi Le Blanc), Brian (Jeannine), Joe (Rene), Karen (Ron Sinclair), Chrissy (Marc Oriet). Loved and cherished Grandma of Ryan, Neil, Jason, Sarah, Carlee, Melanie, Allan, Jaclyn, Stephen, Megan, Adam (1994), Matthew, Jeremy and Olivia. Great Grandma of Nora and Zachary, Sophia and Logan. She will be missed by several butter tart loving nieces and nephews whom she loved so much. Much loved sister of Aime (Angeline) Van Daele and Jerome Van Daele. Predeceased by Mary (Peter) Strathopolous, Omer (Rosemary) Van Daele and Francis Van Daele and sister-in-law Lorraine Van Daele. Surviving sister-in-law Nora Van Daele. Sister-in-law of Frank (Rita) Baute and Louise (Bill) Brodie. Predeased by Clara (Alex) Ternoey, Leona (Bob) Kelly, Florence (Bill) Cloutier, Alice (Jack) Frank. Raising her seven children and visits from her grandchildren and life on the farm as well as her kindess to those in need is what brought her the most joy. Betty was a faithful parishioner at St. Peter's on The Thames. She will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion, love and humility, and we pray that God will give us the grace to follow in her footsteps. We would like to thank Dr. C. Bryan, Dr. M. Tomen and the staff of the Tilbury Manor Nursing Home for the exceptional care. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of Chatham-Kent. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home Inc., 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury on Friday, Sept 9 th from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm and a Funeral Mass on Saturday, Sept 10th at St. Peter's on the Thames at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
