91 years, of Tilbury, peacefully passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home in Chatham, ON on Friday October 14 th , 2022. Devoted wife of the late Marcel Conan together for 59 years. Loving mother to Patrick Conan of Tilbury and Claude (Cheryl) of Edmonton. Proud grandmother of Matthew. Beloved sister to predeceased siblings Bernadette, Cecile, Peter, Andre, Alban, Albert, George, Joseph, Francois and Henrietta. Sister-in-law to late Jeannette (Raymond) Richard. Also survived by several nieces and nephews in France. Angele was born and raised in Tredion, France where she also met Marcel. They started a life together in Canada in Pain Court, ON and then a few years later purchased their farms in Tilbury. Angele was a very hard working wife and mom. She assisted her family with the family farm as well as local seasonal farm processing jobs. Angele loved the farm life, fresh air, surrounded by nature and her family pets. When travel allowed she returned to France or enjoyed adventures in the Canadian Rockies, while visiting Alberta and British Columbia. Angele was very proud of her French heritage/language and her lifelong friends. She enjoyed line dancing/field trips and celebrations with the Golden Age Club (Stoney Point). She took pleasure in her garden of flowers and vegetables each year. She shared her fruit tree produce with others. Angele was long time member of the St. Francis Parish in Tilbury. Angele quite simply “loved Tilbury”.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to staff at Chatham Kent Hospital Alliance and the excellent care provided by Meadow Park in Chatham. A cremation has already occurred and a Spring Celebration of Life for Angele is being planned. Spring was her favorite time of year. A notice will be posted here prior to the Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Chatham Kent Health Alliance Foundation https://www.classy.org/give/214048/#!/donation/checkout going to the online link below (In memory of Angele) or donate by cheque at the Spring Celebration of Life. Thank you for being part of her life.
