We were so sorry to hear of Bette's passing. Mom ( Joy Mellow) and I have known Bette since Strangfield Church days. She was always a wonderful and caring friend to my Mom for decades. I had a lovely short visit with her in Feb at my Mom's funeral. So glad I had this chance to see her again, as I will miss her. Such a lovely lady with always a welcoming smile and a sparkle in her eyes and she always asked how we were doing. Thinking of you all and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

My sympathy to all the family as you miss and remember your special Mom and Grandma.
She was a kind and lovely lady and I was always happy to see her and have a visit. She was a very good friend to my Mom, Catherine Keith. They were together with the other wonderful Strangfield ladies at many events over the years. They enjoyed a great trip to Alaska many years ago.
Bette was a friend to everyone and she will be missed very much.

Barry and I are saddened by the passing of Bette. Dana and Sandra know that your Mom is at peace now.
Your Mom was such a nice lady and I always had a nice visit with her whenever we were at a family function.

I was privileged to have know Bette for several years. We met at the United Church initially and then most Fridays at our Hairdressers where we managed to catch up on the weeks goings on. We have lost a treasured family member with the passing of our Aunt Bette. Her British ancestry on her mother's side of the family came through with her "keep calm and carry on" attitude as she faced life's many challenges.
Always thinking of others and being open to new adventures and celebrations , she made spending time together such a pleasure over the years.
We have a vivid memory of her having a ball on the dance floor a few years ago at the Terry Fox Run in Tilbury, surrounded by a gang of little ones.

I am very sorry for your lost! Betty was a very strong, elegant refined lady! It was such a pleasure seeing her at church and running into her sometimes at Shoppers. I always commented her on her outfits.

She was an absolutely lovely lady; kind, gentle, thoughtful but so resilient, determined, and such a hard worker. She was a special Wife, Mom, Grandmother and Aunt, and touched so many other lives through teaching, her Church life, and her active social life in the farming community. We have many fond memories of our times with her that will be cherished forever. Unfortunately we are unable to attend the gathering on the 20th but will be with you in spirit.

Bette was a true lady, as that term was meant to be used. She and Ralph were a prominent part of our local farm neighbourhood and supplied two darn good babysitters for the folks in the area. She was the essence of what people should be.

Bette was a big part of my childhood memories. She was my cousin and we often spent time at the farm. Often she would take my sister and I swimming in the summer when we visited.
I remember her wedding to Ralph and enjoyed times spent at family get togethers. Her smile lit up a room and her quiet presence made everyone love to be around her.
Both Mike and I send our sympathy to the family. Knowing she is no longer in pain after her hard fight gives us some peace at this sad time. Dana and Sandra, you now have another angel watching over you.
