Obituary of Dwayne Mellow

Ivan “Dwayne” Mellow, 82 years, of Tilbury "Lakeshore", passed away surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday December 27, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on Saturday July 26, 1941 in Tilbury, the son of Ivan (1996) and Helen (1989) (née McDowell) Mellow. Predeceased by his late wife Shirley Mellow (née Poppe). Loving father of Jody Labonte (Steve) and (late) Lisa Mellow (Gary). Devoted grandfather to Tyler, Nathan and Jennelle (Dustin) and great grandfather to Taylor and Austin. Step-Grandpa Marshmellow to Marie, Anne (Mark) and Christine and step-great Grandpa Marshmellow to Jade, Logan, and Berkley. Predeceased by sisters’ Nancy (Larry) Thibeault and Cheryl Mellow (Blake). Loving uncle to Grace (Andre) Laviolette, Maurice “Moe” (Renee) Thibeault, Elizabeth “Beth Ann” (Bob) Holding, Deb (Tim) St. Pierre and the (late) Sandy and will be missed by many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Dwayne was an avid farmer for over 40 years and was well known for his Mellow vegetable stand. He loved spending his time dancing, playing cards, going to fairs and farming exhibitions.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan 20 from 10:00 to 12:00 PM at Reaume Funeral Home Inc. 6 Canal Street West, Tilbury with funeral Service to immediately follow from 12:00-12:15. Dwayne’s Interment will take place at 12:45-1:00 PM at McDowell Cemetery 6800 Gracey Side Road, Comber Lakeshore.
