Obituary of Richard Maurice Tellier

63 years, of Staples, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on March 23, 2024. Loving and caring husband for 42 beautiful years to Jamie (nee Brown) Tellier. Mentor and guide to his sons; Kevin & Melissa and Brian & Jennifer. Loving papa to Cameron, Casey, Jack, and Evan. Son of the late Maurice and Theresa Tellier. Fond brother of the late Francis (2009)(Rita) Tellier, Rene (Carol) Tellier, Pauline (Gene) Butler, late Louise (2021) (Dave) McVittie, late Mark (2014)(Linda) Tellier, Yvette (Randy) Lewenza, and Simone (Dan) O’Neil.  Brother-in-law to Rod and Lyn McKenzie, Gary and Deb Marentette, Chris and Carol Anne Jones, and special son-in-law to Lorette (late Melvin) Brown.  Also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.

Richard retired from 30 years at Chrysler’s and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 241. He played golf in the Essex Legion Senior Mens League. Richard was a proud lifetime farmer of Staples and loved to travel, often driving his prized Ram to Arizona, Florida, the East Coast, or where ever him and Jamie using their heart as their compass.

A special thanks to Gary and Deb for being our chauffeur and our rock throughout this journey. Many thanks to all of the special nurses that touched our hearts and guided us on this journey. To all of our family and friends that touched our lives with so much love and compassion, you made our world a better place. There truly are angels on earth…

Life is a journey, not a destination, but Richard is now at his destination. A journey cut way too short. But, we sure had a lot of fun.

Family and friends will be received at Visitation Parish Church, Comber on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. with a Memorial Mass to celebrate Richard's life to commence at 2:00 p.m.
