Obituary of Bernadette Blain

BLAIN, Bernadette (nee Gaudreau)

71 years, of Tilbury, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side at Chatham-Kent Hospice on Saturday, May 4, 2024.  Beloved wife of Ronald Blain for 50 years.  Loving mother of Rachael & Jody Sales, Shelley Wilson, Aaron & Jessica Blain, Estelle Blain & Leo Grammatico.  Cherished grandma of Joel, Jacob, Joshua, Ava, Marissa, Aiden, Kaylee, and Colin.  Daughter of the late Blanche (2016) and Felix (2007) Gaudreau.  Dear sister of Stella (Jean Paul) St. Pierre, Yvette (Paul) Sauve, Margaret (Jerry) Caza, Eileen (Gerald) Robert, Charles Gaudreau (1954), Magdelaine (Kevin) Jack, Jeanne Marie Peters, Louis Gaudreau, Annette Gaudreau, Simeon (Carol, 2009) Gaudreau, Francis (Jacquie) Gaudreau, and Julie Anne (Jack) Shilson. Sister-in-law of Michael (Mary) Blain. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She loved her trailer, baking and crafts (especially with her grandkids) and was never shy to use texting emoji’s. We will forever cherish the many photos she insisted we take together. And how Hallmark was never good enough. She always had to add something to the many cards she gave. More than anything we’ll never forget how much she loved us and how being together with her family brought her the most joy.

Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home Inc., 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Service at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 100 McNaughton Avenue West, Chatham on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Tilbury.  In lieu of flowers donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice appreciated.
