GENDRON, Gaston’Gus’ Rejean Joseph
75 years, of Tilbury passed away on Saturday, June 8th, 2024. Beloved partner of Blanche Cavanagh for 35 years. Son of the late Jean Paul and Aurora (nee Guilmette) Gendron. Loving father of Darquise (Cameron) Stewart and Renee (Glenn) Russell. Adoring pepe of Sydney, Abby, Makenna, Megan, Marlee, and Eric (Tara) Cavanagh. Treasured great-pepe to Ayslin and Eliot. Dear brother of surviving Jules (Bernadette), late Alliette, Yvon, Claude (Mariette), Jean Noel (Denise), Bernard (Louisette), Marcel (Pierette), Lucie (John), Louisette (Raymond), Marguerite (Roger), Cecile (Guy), and Renee (Michael). He will be missed by his nieces and nephews.
Gus loved his woodworking and shared his beautiful creations, especially his butterflies with those he cared about and loved. He was also known to be an avid Golfer which led him to finding a new love of his life, Blanche, whom he met at the Tilbury Golf Club in 1989. Gus fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for 3 years and 5 months, loving his pumpkin patch and painting for his wife and family until the last. A special thank you to the kind and compassionate staff at the Erie Shores Hospice for everything that they did.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 23 2024 starting for 12:30 PM with a luncheon to follow at The SCOT, formerly known as the KoC, on 20 Dupuis Ave, Tilbury. Memorial Donations to the Erie Shores Health Foundation (Hospice) are appreciated.
