Obituary of Richard Charles Walker

WALKER, Richard “Dick” 67 years, of Quinn, after a brief illness, with his wife and family by his side at London Health Sciences - Victoria Campus on Sunday, October 2, 2011. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Elliott). Loving father of Connie and husband William Ames of LaSalle, and Allan and wife Louise Walker of London. Cherished grandfather of Jeremy Ames and Gregory Walker. Dearest son-in-law of Pauline Elliott. Dick was a farmer all of his life, a field man for Omstead Foods for over 20 years, and also served as a Town Councillor for Tilbury East Township. Marilyn and her family would like to extend special and heartfelt appreciation to Victoria Hospital Critical Care Unit Doctors and nursing staff for assisting Dick with kindness and compassion during his brief illness. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011. Funeral service at the funeral home on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Wendy Paterson officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Windsor-Essex Humane Society appreciated.
